In a Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management survey of 1,000 Americans with investable assets in excess of $250,000, 50% said that they are concerned about the current state of their retirement plans.
Almost 4 in 10 (38%) of those who need help restructuring their plans cited "rebuilding the assets lost in my retirement nest egg" as being of optimal importance. Slightly less (36%) cited "preparing for my retirement."
The study also found that 57 percent believe their target retirement age is unchanged, but 37% plan to retire later.
